Cypark Resources posts 2Q net profit of RM6.22m

KUALA LUMPUR: CypARK RESOURCES BHD [] posted net profit of RM6.22 million in the second quarter ended April 30, 2011 on the back of RM40.98 million in revenue.
The company said on Tuesday, June 28 that earnings per share were 4.0 sen. The second quarter revenue was about RM1.6 million lower than in the first quarter.
It said the second quarter revenue was generated mainly from the second phase of the national landfill restoration projects and foundation works for the leachate treatment plans.
“The group’s gross profit margin during the first and second quarters remained at 26%, mainly attributed to engineering works. The profit margin before taxation also remained at 19% for the first and second quarters,” it said.
Cypark said it was upbeat on its venture into the renewable energy business, including the renewable energy park project in Pajam, Negeri Sembilan which integrated the three resources at the landfill – solar, landfill gas and waste.
