APB Resources posts higher pre-tax profit

APB Resources Bhd's pre-tax profit for the third quarter ended June 30, 2011 rose to RM7.5 million from RM539,000 in the same quarter last year.
Revenue increased to RM61.69 million from RM34.09 million previously.
In a filling to Bursa Malaysia today, APB said the improved performance was
mainly attributed to the lower exchange loss, write-back of provision for
liquidated and ascertained damages as well as favourable product mix.
CCM Duopharma Biotech Bhd's pre-tax profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 rose by 18 per cent to RM9.3 million compared with its first quarter.
Its revenue increased by 7.2 per cent to RM23.3 million compared with the
previous corresponding quarter.
In a statement today, the company said the improved performance was mainly
due to higher demand. CCM expected to remain profitable for the remaining period of the current year. -- Bernama
