Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor shares jump on 26.67 sen dividend plan
KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd surged to RM2.39 on Wednesday after it declared a special dividend of 26.67 sen a share for its financial year ending Dec 31, 2013.
At 3.07pm, KPS was up 17 sen to RM2.39. Turnover was 13.16 million shares.
The FBM KLCI fell 3.42 points to 1,771.52. Volume of shares traded was 957.45 million valued at RM765.67mil. There were 305 gainers, 310 losers and 310 counters unchanged.
In a Bursa filing on Wednesday, the company said the dividend - which amounts to RM133mil - would go ex on Oct 2.
Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd, currently a major shareholder with a 57.88% stake, would receive a total RM77mil from the exercise.
