KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 22): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed almost flat today.

Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd Dealer Tan Sek Wei said the FBMKLCI futures were traded between gains and losses throughout the trading session.
"The market traded relatively on thin volume. Likely reasons were Budget 2014 and the US job data. Taking these circumstances into account, this will be a rough week for investors," he told Bernama.

At close, November 2013 rose one point to 1,806, and March 2014 gained 2.5 points to 1,802.5.
October 2013 and December 2013 stood at 1,806, respectively.

Turnover rose to 3,460 lots from 3,018 lots Monday, while open interest added to 46,539 contracts from 45,904 contracts yesterday.
Meanwhile, the FBM KLCI ended 0.97 of a point higher, at 1,803.58.
