KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 24): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed flat today, on lack of fresh market leads.
Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd dealer, Thomas Yew Jia-Jong, said that the market experienced mild profit taking activities.
"Regional markets broadly performed worse, in particular, the China market slumped, despite lower house prices to curb property risk.
"Tomorrow, the market is likely to focus on CIMB's corporate results," he told Bernama.
Spot month February 2014, rose 0.5 of a point to 1,832, March 2014 and June 2014 were both unchanged at 1,832 and 1,828.5 respectively, while September 2014 lost four points to 1,822.5.
Turnover jumped to 19,321 lots, from last Friday's 5,258 lots, while open interest increased to 53,563 contracts, from 39,237 contracts, recorded previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI ended 2.06 points lower, at 1,828.68.
