KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 13): Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd has suspended the trading of its shares before noon today ahead of a major announcement.

In an announcement to the stock exchange, Barakah said: “The request for suspension was made under paragraph 3.1(c) of Practice Note 2 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities, in view of the pending release of an announcement relating to a material contract award.”

Barakah was last traded at RM1.56, up two sen.
