KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 27): The Kuala Lumpur rubber market closed mixed in quiet trading today despite the uptrend on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), dealers said.
TOCOM rubber futures gained for the second day today in thin trading as the yen depreciated further against the US dollar.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board's official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20 was unchanged at 753 sen a kg. Latex-in-bulk fell two sen to 553 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR20 increased half-a-sen to 753.5 sen a kg while latex-in-bulk decreased 4.5 sen to 550.5 sen a kg. --
