KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 27): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower, tracking the bearish underlying cash market.
January 2014 lost 16.5 points to 1780.5 points, February 2014 erased 18 points to 1778 points, while June 2014 and March 2014 fell 17 points each, to 1778 points and 1776 points respectively.
Turnover appreciated to 42,327 lots, from 10,555 lots registered last Friday, while open interest increased to 85,726 contracts, from 49,522 contracts previously.
The underlying FBM KLCI closed 23.69 points lower, at 1,778.88.
