KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Robert Tan Hua Choon has ceased to be a shareholder in Malaysia Aica Bhd (MAica) after he disposed of his entire 14.3% stake following a takeover offer by TER Equity Sdn Bhd.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia on Thursday showed he sold the stake, comprising of 22.64 million shares on Jan 27 in a direct business transaction.

TER Equity and Datuk Ter Leong Yap had made a joint offer to takeover MAica at 85 sen a share.

After the acquisition, Ter’s total stake was 50.11%. His direct stake was 21.3% or 33.72 million shares while his indirect stake, via TER Equity, was 28.81% or 45.62 million shares.

Tan, who is the chairman of Jasa Kita Bhd with a 31.89% stake, is also the chairman of PDZ Holdings Bhd in which he owns 19.13%.
In a separate filing, Tan Ching Ching has also ceased to be a shareholder of MAica after disposing of 10.24 million shares or 6.47% stake in the group
