KUALA LUMPUR (March 3): RHB Research has maintained Buy on Datasonic Group Bhd with a higher fair value of RM4.08 (from RM3.36) and said Datasonic’s FY13 net profit of RM81.9 million came in within house expectations at 101.4% of its full-year estimate.
In a note Monday, the research house Datasonic declared a second interim dividend per share (DPS) of 2.0 sen, bringing its FY13 DPS to 3.5 sen.
“To our surprise, management declared a 1-for-1 bonus issue, which in our view is to reward its existing shareholders by further improving its liquidity.
“Maintain Buy, with our fair value nudged up to RM4.08 (from RM3.36),” it said.
