KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd is targeting for 50% of the buyers of its Bandar Sri Sendayan development to come from the Klang Valley.

The Negeri Sembilan property developer said that the idea of people working in the Klang Valley while living in Seremban is gaining traction, as prices are deemed more affordable in Bandar Sri Sendayan.

Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin, chairman of the property development company, said that the proportion of Bandar Sri Sendayan buyers from the Klang Valley has been increasing for the past two years, making up 40% and 30% of purchasers in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

“Furthermore, BSS is currently accessible from Klang Valley via three major highways, namely the North-South Expressway, North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) and Kajang-Seremban Expressway (LEKAS).

“This is on top of a strong railway network and KLIA Express Rail Link (ERL) nearby,” said Haslah.

He added that the upcoming Paroi-Senawang-KLIA and West Coast expressways would further improve Bandar Sri Sendayan’s connectivity.

Of the 2117.72ha (5,233 acres) development, 80% of the land has been allocated for residential and commercial properties, while the balance 20% consists of Sendayan TechValley.

The group said the Sendayan TechValley had attracted approximately RM3 billion in foreign direct investment from countries such as Japan, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Hino-Motors and Akashi-Kikai have already commenced operations in Sendayan TechValley, while Nippon Kayaku, Schmidt + Clemens and the Safran group’s Messier-Bugatti-Dowty will begin production by end-2014.

“In the near future, we believe we will witness the second phase of migration to BSS, when there is extensive job creation through STV.

“STV will certainly add to the vibrancy of BSS in the long term and position Negeri Sembilan as a thriving economic hub in the country,” said Haslah.
