Notable trade Dr Yu buys YNH Property shares

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 19): Controlling shareholder Dr Yu Kuan Chon has bought 321,000 shares in YNH Property Bhd to increase his direct shareholding to 63.64 million shares or 15.52% of the group's share base.

The filing with Bursa Malaysia shows that Yu purchased the shares on the open market. However, no price was stated.

Yu, who is YNH's major shareholder, also has an indirect stake of 16.44% in the property firm.

The limelight was cast on Yu for thwarting Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan's attempt to privatise Hong Leong Capital Bhd by rejecting the general offer.
