Monday, 25 August 2014 18:35 KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 25): Automotive parts maker EP Manufacturing Bhd (EPMB)'s net profit advanced 43% to RM5.12 million for the second quarter ended 30, 2014 (2QFY14) compared with RM3.57million in the previous corresponding quarter. Profit growth was driven by higher sales from the automotive division. Revenue rose to RM144.23 million from RM115.28 million, EPMB told Bursa Malaysia in a filing today. For the first six months, EPMB's net profit fell to RM8.39 million from RM9.18 million a year earlier despite revenue advancing to RM260.56 million from RM225.68million. Looking forward, the group remained optimistic that demand in the local automotive sector was still positive. "Despite the operating environment continuing to be challenging, we believed the group will continue to register satisfactory performance," EPMB said. |
