KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 4): Globetronics Technology Bhd says it will pay a special dividend of 6 sen per share and a second interim dividend of 5 sen per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2014, making a total dividend of 11 sen per share.

The electronics manufacturing company says the dividend quantum is higher than that declared for the previous corresponding period.

The shareholders’ entitlement date is Oct 24 and payment date is Nov 5.

“The higher dividend declared is due to the financial and cash flow position of the group,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

For the six months ended June 30, 2014, Globetronics reported a net profit of RM31.4 million, up 29% from RM24.33 million a year earlier, on revenue of RM174.04 million versus RM163.24 million, previously.

Its cash and cash equivalents as at June 30 stood at RM169.52 million.
