Harrisons declares special dividend of 50c

KUALA LUMPUR: Harrisons Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd has declared a special interim gross dividend of 50 sen per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011.
It said on Monday, Aug 29, the ex-date for the dividend was Sept 15 and the entitlement date was Sept 20.
In its second quarter ended June 30, it reported net profit of RM8.73 million, up 5% from RM8.31 million a year ago. Its revenue increased by 8.8% to RM322.67 million from RM296.46 million while earnings per share were 12.75 sen compared with 12.13 sen.
In the first half, its net profit was just 1.18% higher at RM17.26 million compared with RM17.06 million in the previous corresponding period. Its revenue was 9.4% higher at RM643.47 million compared with RM587.93 million.
