By Yimie Yong / theedgemarkets.com | September 28, 2015 : 11:51 AM MYTKUALA LUMPUR (Sept 28): Wood-based furniture manufacturer SYF Resources Bhd ([You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Valuation: 1.50, Fundamental: 0.80) surged as much as 3.5 sen to 48 sen after net profit for the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2015 (4QFY15) rose 92% from a year earlier.
Last Friday, SYF said its 4QFY15 net profit rose to RM10.13 million from RM5.27 million in 4QFY14. Revenue was higher at RM114.9 million compared to RM63.86 million from the previous year.
Full-year net profit climbed to RM24.94 million or 5.01 sen per share from RM21.7 million or 7.93 sen per share a year earlier.
At 11.02am today, SYF shares pared gains to trade at 46 sen with 4.77 million shares done.
In the broader market, the FBM KLCI was down 13.79 points or 0.85% at 1,600.83.
