Brother eyes 30pc monochrome printer mart

Brother International Malaysia Sdn Bhd has set a target of racking up 30 per cent of the market share for monochrome
printers by end of this year.

The
increase in sales will be driven by the introduction of Brother's new
series of monochrome laser printers and monochrome
laser-multi-functional centres (MFCs) for small offices and home offices
(SOHOs) and small medium businesses (SMBs), said its Managing Director,
Yoshiaki Otsuka, at a press conference following the launch of the two
new series of products here today.

"The series' Automatic
Duplex Print (a feature which provides double-sided printing for all
documents) is able to increase business sustainability by generating
additional revenue through targeting environmentally-aware customers,
and reducing consumption and refusing paper materials at the office," he
said.

peripherals, also said that there was a high demand in Malaysia for their brand of monochrome laser printers and MFCs.

From
2009 till todate, there has been a 21 per cent increase in the demand
for the monochrome printers and 39 per cent increase for the MFCs, a
