LB Engr Q3 pre-tax profit declines

PLB Engineering's pre-tax profit for the third quarter ended May 31, 2011, slipped to RM36,000 from the RM2.4 million recorded in the same period last year.
Revenue, however, rose to RM29.7 million as compared to RM19.949 million previously.
The lower pre-tax profit was mainly due to the lower contribution from the construction sector, as most of the projects had been completed,PLB said in a statement today.
"The group remains focused on the upcoming property development projects and continues its drive by seeking opportunities to secure new land banks," it added. -- Bernama
