KL shares mixed in mid-morning trade

Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were mixed at mid-morning today with trading volume remaining low.
At 11am, the benchmark FBM KLCI was up 0.11 of a point to 1,503.18.
Losers outpaced gainers by 252 to 213 while 252 were unchanged and 777 not traded. Turnover stood at 298.45 million shares worth RM428.65 million.
The Finance Index rose 22.13 points to 14,318.32 and the Plantation Index gained 21.26 points to 7,360.88 but the Industrial Index fell 4.38 points to 2,758.42.
The FBM Emas Index shed 0.83 points to 10,312.22, the FBM Mid 70 Index fell 1.37 points to 11,320.36 and the FBM Ace Index decreased 3.32 points to 3,894.42.
Kuala Lumpur Kepong added 14 sen to RM21.48 after posting strong earnings for the third quarter. Among active stocks, MAA Holdings gained eight sen to 64 sen, Hap Seng Cons-Warrants fell 1.5 sen to 49 sen and Wijaya Baru Global-Wa rose 1.5 sen to
20.5 sen.
For heavyweights, Maybank rose two sen to RM8.70, CIMB added three sen to RM8.18 and Sime Darby gained five sen to RM8.93. -- Bernama
