Hong Kong: Lifted by China economic data
SHARES rose 0.25 per cent yesterday, a fourth straight gain, following a rally on Wall Street.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 50.48 points to 20,585.33.
"The local stocks were boosted by improved economic data from China, but market turnover remained thin as some investors took to the sidelines ahead of Obama's speech after US Labour Day," said Patrick Yiu, managing director of CASH Asset Management, according to Dow Jones Newswires. - AFP
