'Cut personal income tax in Budget 2012'
Reduction in personal income tax rate or a raise of personal income tax relief to increase disposable income are part of the Budget 2012 wish lists of Mah Sing Group Bhd group managing director Tan Seri Leong Hoy Kum.
This move would be welcomed by not only people whose income are less than RM3,000 a month but also Malaysians as a whole, he said.
He also hoped to see more focus was given to the property sector, be they financial incentives, tax breaks or even infrastructure projects.
He also expects more announcements on privatisation of government land.
"We hope the government's generous 50 per cent stamp duty exemption for first time purchase of homes under RM350,000 will be extended," he said in a statement today.- Bernama
