Crescendo H1 profit surges to RM34.5m

Crescendo Corporation Bhd's pre-tax profit surged 62 per cent to RM34.5 million in the first half ended July 31, 2011 from RM21.3 million in the same period last year.
The increase in pre-tax profit was mainly contributed by higher sales and
improved margin from industrial properties, the company said in a filing to
Bursa Malaysia today.
Revenue also increased 27 per cent to RM126.7 million from RM99.4 million
previously mainly contributed from higher sales in industrial properties, it
added.
For the financial year 2012, Crescendo said the market conditions are
volatile in view of the European sovereign debt concern and a recurrence of the
global recession.
It said the company would continue to focus, with the encouraging locked-in
sales, on the development of industrial properties at Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park in Nusajaya in the financial year 2012. -- Bernama
