AmBank named best RM/USD forecaster
AmBank Group's Market Division has been named the "Best Malaysian Ringgit/USD Forecaster" by Bloomberg in its "Best Forecasters of Asian Currencies Against the US Dollar" rankings.
Since early last year, the division has been a major research contributor to Bloomberg for foreign exchange rates and credit.
The value-added contributions to Bloomberg include daily, weekly research updates and thematic research contributions.
As of Sept 30, AmBank Group's average margin of error was 2.47 per cent in the Bloomberg rankings, followed by JP Morgan Chase and Co and Scotia Capital Inc with 2.49 per cent and 2.57 per cent, respectively.
AmBank Group managing director (market division) Yvonne Phe said: "Our division continues to deepen its specialisation in foreign exchange derivatives, fixed income and structured solution, and continues to generate value-add, enhance strong customer focus and extend delivery capabilities in the region.
"Our strategic partnership with the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd has developed cutting edge risk management systems to widen the market division's product-offering capability.
"In addition, our Quantitative Research and Strategies Unit specialises in delivering innovative and optimal risk management solutions customised to a wide range of customer needs," she said in a statement. -- Bernama
