Ambank issues 8 new call warrants

AmBank (M) Bhd is issuing eight new European-styled cash-settled
structured warrants to meet demand as Malaysian investors look forward
to a new trading year.


In a statement today, AmBank said for the latest issuance, there
will be eight call warrants (CWs) over the ordinary shares of Genting
Bhd, Genting Malaysia Bhd, Malaysia Building Society Bhd, IGB Corp Bhd,
KrisAssets Holdings Bhd, OSK Holdings Bhd, Proton Holdings Bhd and
Oriental Holdings Bhd.


It said the structured warrants will have tenures of approximately
seven months and will be listed on Jan 5, 2012 with issue size of up to
100 million each.


"The new CWs have gearings ranging between 4.18 and 7.70 and they
are targeted at investors who want leveraged exposure to the underlying
counters," it said.






Ambank said it welcomed a new and hopefully better trading year with its latest tranche of structured warrants.



"It was a difficult and volatile second half in 2011 as global
markets were roiled by the sovereign debt crisis in Europe and fears of
the slowdown of the US and emerging markets," it said. -- Bernama

not related.....the warrant issue for other company....even if ambank issue warrant for ambank itself wont effect....this is call warrant not related....

if its company warrant different lor....price will drop kao kao man
