TA Ent reaps higher profit of RM152m

TA Enterprise Bhd posted RM151.998 million in higher pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Jan 31, 2012 compared with RM139.695 million in the same period last year.
Revenue rose to RM693.892 million from RM618.822 million.
For the fourth quarter ended Jan 31, 2012, the company's pre-tax profit fell to RM31.506 million from RM54.007 million.
However, revenue rose to RM190.068 million from RM179.626 million, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.
"Although hotel revenue was higher, contributions from the stockbroking arm and credit and lending segments were lower in the current quarter," it added. -- Bernama
