VS Ind sees 10pc revenue from Indonesia ops
V.S. Industry Bhd (VSI) expects its Indonesian operations to contribute over 10 per cent of group revenue for financial year ending July 31, 2012 (FY12).
In a statement today, VSI said, during the first half of 2012 (1H12), its Indonesian operations saw a 38 per cent increase in revenue to RM65.9 million compared with RM47.7 million in 1H11, contributing 12 per cent to group revenue of RM548.2 million in 1H12.
Managing director, Gan Sem Yam, said the company expected the Indonesia plant to contribute 20 per cent of group revenue in three years.
Going forward, he said, VSI planned to invest US$10 million to construct a new plant with plastic injection capabilities. -- Bernama
