MAS scraps regional premium airline plan
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has dropped plans to set up a regional premium airline.
The airline's short haul business will instead remain as a division in the full service carriers' operations.
"The objectives and goals of the short haul business remains, its just that it won't be its own airline," MAS short haul chief operating officer and Firefly chief executive officer Ignatius Ong told reporters, declining to elaborate further on the matter.
