Ingens confirms bagging RM125mil job

PETALING JAYA: Ingenuity Solutions Bhd (Ingens) has obtained a RM125mil contract to be the sole distributor of WiMAX modems for broadband player Packet One Networks (M) Sdn Bhd (P1).
Confirming an earlier StarBiz report on this, the company said it would supply P1 4G WiMAX modems to 858 P1 authorised resellers throughout Malaysia.
The distribution and logistics services agreement was signed by Ingens executive director Low Gah Luen and P1 chief executive officer Michael Lai, the distributor of information communication technology (ICT) products said in a statement yesterday. “This synergistic partnership with Ingens, we believe, will enable P1 4G resellers to gain the much-needed support in reaching out to all our customers even more efficiently,” Lai said.
Prior to this agreement, P1 undertook the distribution of its 4G modems internally.
