LBS Bina chalks up pre-tax profit of RM14m

LBS Bina Group Bhd has chalked up a pre-tax profit of RM14 million and
a revenue of RM112 million for the three months ended March 31,2012.
These represented a 46 per cent increase in revenue and an eight
per cent decrease in pre-tax profit over the results achieved in the
corresponding period in 2011, the group said in a statement.
The improved revenue for the current quarter was attributable to
progressive recognition of revenue and profit contribution from its
on-going projects while the decrease in pre-tax profit was mainly due
to increased project costs.
As of May 29, the group achieved sales of approximately RM413 million.
With the group's on-going projects and unbilled sales
of approximately RM715 million, as at April 30, LBS Bina is confident
of achieving better results in the current financial year. -- Bernama
