Tin ends lower on lack of demand
KUALA LUMPUR: Tin price on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market
(KLTM) closed lower on lack of demand for the commodity ahead of the weekend, dealers said.
The
metal's price declined US$100 to US$19,400 a tonne despite tin price
gaining US$180 to US$19,630 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
At the opening level, bids stood at 46 tonnes while sellers amounted to 116 tonnes.
Turnover rose to 71 tonnes from 50 tonnes yesterday with the market dominated by Japanese, European and local buyers.
The premium between the KLTM and LME narrowed to US$160 a tonne from US$440 a tonne on Thursday. - Bernama
