KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 28): KNM Group Bhd announced that Zainudin Zulkifli has been appointed as the group’s chief operating officer (COO) of its Malaysian Process Equipment Division.

Zainudin has over 20 years of site, operational, manufacturing and management experience, and had previously worked with BASF Group of Companies, Shell Chemicals Seraya, Wembley IBAE, Boccard and Innovest Industries.

“We are delighted to count En Zainudin as a member of our management team and I am sure that given time, he wil bring about positive changes to our Malaysian operations,” said Lee Swee Eng, group CEO of KNM.

In a separate announcement yesterday, the group had proposed to undertake a par value reduction via the cancellation of RM0.50 of the par value of every existing share of RM1.00 in the company.

“The proposed par value reduction will give rise to a credit of RM745,006,626 which will be credited to the share premium reserve account of the company and may be utilised in such manner as the board deems fit,” said KNM.
