Maxis top loser in early trade (6012)
KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Maxis Bhd fell the most in early trade on Friday on news that tycoon T. Ananda Krishnan was selling up to 375 million shares worth around RM2.35bil.
At 10am, it was down 14 sen to RM6.40. There were 5.64 million shares done.
The FBM KLCI was up 1.02 points to 1,624.93. Turnover was 194.58 million shares valued at RM215.20mil. There were 239 gainers, 131 losers and 248 counters unchanged.
Reuters had on Thursday reported that Ananda Krishnan sold the Maxis shares at prices ranging between RM6.21 and RM6.34 per share, which was a 3%-5% discount to the closing price of RM6.54.
At 10am, it was down 14 sen to RM6.40. There were 5.64 million shares done.
