KUALA LUMPUR (July 23): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, in tandem with the record close on the underlying cash market, dealers said.
Spot month July 2013 and September 2013 improved 6.5 points each to 1,808 and 1,806.5 respectively.
August 2013 rose seven points to 1,809.5 and December 2013 added 4.5 points to 1,806.5.
Turnover increased to 4,752 lots from 3,288 lots on Monday, while open interest improved to 42,636 contracts from yesterday's 40,715 contracts.
The underlying FBM KLCI closed 7.63 points higher at 1,805.31.
