KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, closed higher today, in tandem with the positive underlying cash market, a dealer said.
Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd Dealer, Desmun Chan Coin Mun, told Bernama that the futures contracts' performance was in line with regional markets, on lack of fresh catalysts.
At the close, March 2014 added two points to 1,822.5, April 2014 rose 2.5 points to 1,822, June 2014 gained three points to 1,820, and September 2014 improved 1.5 points to 1,818.5.
Turnover fell to 4,074 lots, from Monday's 6,810 lots, while open interest narrowed to 34,798 contracts, from 37,494 contracts yesterday.
The underlying FBM KLCI closed 6.49 points better, at 1,828.55.
