Berjaya Assets posts lower Q4 net profit
PETALING JAYA: Berjaya Assets Bhd’s net profit for its fourth quarter ended June 30, 2013 slipped to RM8.92mil from RM106.79mil a year earlier, mainly due to lower favourable fair value adjustment of investment properties in the current quarter.
The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday also that the gaming business segment operated by Natural Avenue Sdn Bhd (NASB) reported lower profit contribution from a higher prize payout.
Berjaya Assets’ revenue for the second quarter ended June 30 however increased to RM103.64mil from RM80.19mil a year earlier.
