SHAH ALAM (April 09): The Selangor State Government is not keen on selling its 30 percent shares in the Shah Alam Expressway concession company
(Kesas), right now.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said, the issue was not even discussed by the management of the Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS), despite rumours of offers made by several companies.

"PKNS also has 30 percent shares in the concessionaire, despite reports that there were offers made by several companies to purchase the shares, in a bid to take over control of the company.

"So far, PKNS management has yet to make any decision to sell their shares in the company," he said this in reply to Mat Shuhaimi Shafiei (PKR-Seri Muda), at the Selangor State Assembly sitting, here today.

Mat Shuhaimi had wanted to know the percentage of Kesas shares owned by the state government and about the proposal to sell the shares to other companies.
