Wednesday, 11 June 2014 19:22 KUALA LUMPUR (June 11): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI futures (FKLI) contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly higher, in line with the cash market. Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd dealer said that the better-than-expected industrial production data influenced the FTSE FBM KLCI to finish 1.77 points higher to 1,878.38. He said that the country's Industrial Production Index, which rose 4.2 per cent last month, was higher than market expectation of 4.1 per cent. However, the spot month June 2014 contract finished flat at 1,878.5, as investors were on the sidelines, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2014, he told Bernama. July 2014 rose one point to 1,882, September 2014 added two points to 1,878.5 and December 2014 went up five points to 1,878. Turnover decreased to 4,746 lots, from 6,087 lots on Tuesday, but open interest increased to 35,297 contracts, from 35,105 contracts previously. |
