KUALA LUMPUR (June 17): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly higher in early trading today despite the weaker underlying cash market, dealers said.
At 9.25 am, spot month June 2013 gained a point to 1,760.50 and September 2013 edged up 1.5 points to 1,764.50 while July 2013 was unchanged at 1,762.50.
As for December 2013, it remained untraded at 1,765.00.
Turnover stood at 1,471 lots while open interest was at 30,426 contracts.
The underlying FBM KLCI rose 0.97 of a point to 1,763.16 after 25 minutes of trading.
