KL shares turn easier mid-morning

KUALA LUMPUR: Share prices on Bursa Malaysia turned easier mid-morning on profit-taking activities ahead of the weekend, dealers
said.
At 11am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 1.67 points lower at 1,588.57.
The Finance Index fell 30.13 points to 14,997.39, the Plantation Index rose 0.66 of a point to 7,914.37 and the Industrial Index added 1.58 points to 2,859.48.
The FTSE Bursa Malaysia Emas Index declined 19.78 points to 10,900.37, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index eased 58.03 points to 11,845.76 and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Ace Index increased 2.27 points to 4,168.94.
Market breadth was positive with gainers leading losers 282 to 198 while 274 other counters were unchanged.
Trading volume stood at 281.95 million shares valued at RM380.86 million.
Actives, Malton Bhd-Warrants rose 26 sen to 47 sen, Malton Bhd-Warrant increased 17 sen to 17.5 sen and MSM-CA fell half-a-sen to 44.5 sen.
Heavyweights, Maybank and CIMB fell two sen each to RM8.95 and RM8.88, respectively, while Petronas Chemicals was down five sen at RM7.14. - Bernama
