Hong Kong: Banks star in broad rally
STOCKS rallied 2.08 per cent yesterday after news that European leaders
had finally reached agreement for a second Greek bailout.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 457.51 points to 22,444.80.
Banks were the biggest winners, with heavyweight HSBC jumping 2.8
per cent to HK$78.00, accounting for 91.04 points of the index's gains,
while ICBC ended 2.8 pe rcent higher at HK$5.87. - AFP
