AmBank issues 8 new put, call warrants

AmBank (M) Bhd is issuing eight new European style cash-settled structured warrants to meet investors’ demand for trading opportunities and alternative investments in the current market.

In a statement, the bank said under its Put-Call Pair Programme, there will be four pairs of put and call warrants over the ordinary shares of Axiata Group Bhd, BIMB Holdings Bhd, Malaysia Building Society Bhd and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd.

The structured warrants will have tenures of approximately eleven months and will be listed on April 18, with an issue size of up to 100 million each.

All eight structured warrants will be listed via the market making method, AmBank said.

The offer is aimed at sophisticated traders who want to trade on the direction and volatility of the companies.

The new warrants have gearings ranging between 4.98 and 8.78 and are targeted at investors who want leveraged exposure to the underlying share, on both the upside and downside.-- BERNAMA
