ECS ICT Q1 pre-tax profit rises to RM11.3m

ECS ICT Bhd's pre-tax profit increased 21.9 per cent to RM11.3 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2012, compared
with RM9.3 million previously.
Revenue rose 9.5 per cent to RM305.4 million from the previous RM278.9 million. The group also recorded a 15.3 per cent increase in basic earnings per share to 6.8 sen from 5.9 sen previously.
In a statement today, managing director Foo Sen Chin said the good results were contributed by strong growth in enterprise systems as well as information and communications technology (ICT) distribution segments.
Foo said to fulfil customers' ICT demands, the group plans to increase its product range in the near future.
"The industry prospects are surely pointing up, and we are pleased to play a significant role to empower end-users and enterprises with ICT tools," he said. -- Bernama
