Deleum Q2 pre-tax profit rises to RM11.7m

Deleum Bhd's pre-tax profit in the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 increased to RM11.720 million from RM7.413 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
However, its revenue decreased to RM80.594 million from RM82.886 million
previously.
For the six-month period, Deleum's pre-tax profit rose to RM19.689 million
from RM15.600 million in the corresponding period of 2010.
Its revenue increased to RM209.037 million from RM160.926 million
previously.
Deleum said it anticipated increased business opportunities as Petroliam
Nasional Bhd has undertaken a number of initiatives in support of the
government's plan to raise the production of oil and gas.
"These initiatives include increased exploration activities, development of
small fields and enhanced oil recovery," it said. -- Bernama
