KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mixed today despite the stronger cash market, dealers said.

At the close, spot month August 2013 and December 2013 lost one point each to 1,782.5 and 1,780 respectively; September 2013 added 0.5 of a point to 1,780,
while March 2014 eased 1.5 of a point to 1,782.5.

Turnover rose to 3,207 lots from 2,834 lots last Wednesday, while open interest was up to 38,224 contracts from 37,682 contracts previously.

The underlying FBM KLCI closed 5.25 points higher at 1,784.57.
