| Wednesday, 11 June 2014 12:20 KUALA LUMPUR (June 11): Malaysia's April manufacturing sales rose 7.7% to RM53.2 billion from RM49.4 billion a year earlier, according to the Statistics Department. In a statement today, the department said manufacturing sales growth came on higher transaction value for items including electrical and electronic components and refined petroleum products. Cumulative four-month manufacturing sales grew 10.9% to RM218.2 billion. April sales, however, fell 4.8% from RM55.9 billion in March. The revised March sales figure represented an increase of 8.9% from a year earlier. |
