| Thursday, 21 August 2014 21:48 KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 21)- Oriental Holdings Bhd saw its net profit for the second quarter ended June 2014 more than doubled to RM51.6 million while first half earnings rose 61% to RM121.33 million or 19.56 sen a share. For the quarter in review, revenue expanded by 34.4% to RM889.3 million while in the first half it rose 25.2% to RM1.62 billion. The group attributed its strong performance to improvements across its business segments such as automotive, plantation, plastic manufacturing as well as the hospitality sector. |
