KL shares lower at mid-morning

Share prices on Bursa Malaysia extended early losses in the mid-morning trading Wednesday in line with other regional
markets on fresh concerns over China's economic slowdown.
At 11.08 am, the FBM KLCI eased 0.93 points to 1,576.69. The Finance Index shed 12.87 points to 14,185.5, the Plantation Index lost 9.45 points to 8,619.72 and the Industrial Index shed 6.15 points to 2,841.37.
The FBM Emas Index lost 8.29 points to 10,870.65 but the FBM ACE Index gained 11.41 points to 4,597.66.
Losers led gainers 275 to 214, while 297 counters were unchanged, 708 untraded and 23 others were suspended. A total of 730.52 million shares worth RM352.78 million were traded.
Among active stocks, Ingenuity Solutions gained two sen to 13 sen, Metronic Global earned one sen to 12 sen, Focus Dynamics eased 2.5 sen to 19 sen and Ariantec Global shed 1.5 sen to 8.5 sen.
For heavyweights, Maybank was flat at RM8.73, CIMB was three sen lower at RM7.62, Sime Darby lost one sen to RM9.73, while Petronas Chemicals added two sen to RM6.73. -- Bernama
